After reading “Connectivism: A Learning Theory for the Digital Age” I got some inspiration.
Wow:
- The “half-life of knowledge”, it means the time span from when knowledge is gained to when it becomes obsolete. For example, students majoring in computer science will become outdated after a few years if they don’t learn anything new after graduation. I’m amazed that new knowledge comes out every 18 months now.
- I learned the new theory in the network study, which is Connectivism. I think connectionism is about learning new things by learning from other people’s experiences.
Wonder:
- I think Connectionism is positive. Advances in the Internet and media tools have made our access to knowledge much easier. At the same time, I think offline education is indispensable, because class in school will be more atmosphere. I want to know the advantages and disadvantages of online education and offline education.
