Wow:
- After reading “What are Personal Learning Networks?” I found the difference between PLN and PLE. PLN is Personal Learning Network, and PLE is Personal Learning Environment. In the past I would have thought they meant the same thing, but their relationship is inclusive. PLN emphasizes the interaction and connection between individuals and networks. PLE emphasizes the entire network learning environment, including tools and types.
- In article “Understanding Personal Learning Networks” I learned that there are strong ties and weak ties in PLN. The strength and weakness here will affect the method of acquiring knowledge.
Wonder:
- Now everyone can set up their own blog, their own social network, that means there’s a lot of information to filter. How to find the most correct information and knowledge is what I want investigate further.
- In article “What is a Personal Learning Network (PLN)?“, the author emphasizes that online learning will become very important in the future, but I think offline learning can give learners a better experience. I think offline teaching cannot be replaced, so I want to explore the relationship between online and offline teaching and its future development.

Hi Stefan,
Thank you for this great post. After reading it, I developed new thinking of PLN. Before, I kind of limited PLN as a network that can only be operated online, but now I see the possibility of connecting offline learners to the online network. For example, we can gather people we know in real life, who are like-minded and ask them to join an online network. As you said, sometimes in-person learning is better, which I agree, but i also think it might be better if we combine the benefits of both offline and online learning, and emerge that benefits into PLN.
