After reading this article, I have a more profound understanding of open pedagogy. This article focuses on OER-Enabled Pedagogy, and it’s different from normal open pedagogy in that it emphasizes interaction with the student. I think this teaching method is effective. Its advantage is that it allows learners to learn new knowledge from other learners. This approach makes it easier for learners to understand new knowledge because other learners always explain their new knowledge clearly in the process of interaction.
This article will tell us how to create and determine which ones are OER-Enabled Pedagogy. I will use EDCI339 as an example below to demonstrate the 4 steps described in the article:
1. Are students asked to create new artifacts (essays, poems, videos, songs, etc.) or revise / remix existing OER?
Answer: Yes, Students need to create their own blogs.
2.Does the new artifact have value beyond supporting the learning of its author?
Answer: Yes. The blogs were meant to also support the learning of other students.
3.Are students invited to publicly share their new artifacts or revised / remixed OER?
Answer: Yes, students were invited to publicly share their blogs, which are available online.
4. Are students invited to openly license their new artifacts or revised / remixed OER?
Answer: YES.
We can see from the four steps above is that EDCI339 is OER-Enabled Pedagogy. I feel that the difference between EDCI339 and other courses is that if you don’t understand the professional knowledge yourself, you can understand this new knowledge by reading other students’ blogs. Other students will usually give their own examples in the blog for other readers to understand.
If I were a teacher, I would like to be able to design courses in this way that learners can learn from each other and get to know each other, and the teachers can look at these articles and figure out what the learners really have trouble with understanding.
In conclusion, I think OER-Enabled Pedagogy is effective, but most students have adapted to the traditional learning method. How to make students adapt to OER-Enabled Pedagogy and whether OER-Enabled Pedagogy is the best choice for some students still need to be studied.

Thank you for sharing. I think the open education you mentioned requires interaction with students is very important. It may be easier to learn from each other than to learn the contents of the book. Students can participate at the same time and encourage them to create new works in different forms. At this point, ordinary education methods are difficult to achieve. I think the learning process is very important. Different students have different experiences in the learning process. Therefore, they should be allowed to learn and communicate with each other.
